Auslan is the language of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community in Australia. Auslan is a visual-gestural language. It combines sign with facial expressions to show different emotions and meanings of words. In our school we have one deaf student, who has 2 Auslan interpreters. Due to this, most of our staff and students have learnt some Auslan skills. This allows all of our students to be able to practice and use their skills throughout the school.
